Executive Advantage is the next evolution of ExecConnect Iowa carefully curated peer-advisory experience for accomplished leaders who want to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their leadership, and build trusted relationships with executives outside their own organizations.
Each confidential cohort brings together a small group of Des Moines-area leaders from diverse industries and professional backgrounds. Through candid conversations, shared experiences, thoughtful peer counsel, and accountability, members gain fresh perspectives on the opportunities and challenges they face.
Who It’s For
Executive Advantage is designed for currently employed Directors through Senior Vice Presidents in Central Iowa who:

Lead teams and influence organizational strategy

Want to continue growing as leaders while strengthening Iowa’s business community
The Experience
Members participate in ten virtual peer-advisory sessions professionally facilitated by Marni Hockenberg, founder of ExecConnect Iowa, throughout the year, complemented by two in-person gatherings designed to deepen relationships and strengthen connections.
Space is limited to six executives per group. Participation is by application and personal interview, and cohorts are intentionally composed to create the right balance of leadership experience, professional diversity, and group compatibility.
Applications will be accepted from September through December 2026, with Executive Advantage launching in January 2027. Executives who have previously attended an ExecConnect Iowa event will receive first consideration.
